International News New AIDS Cases Reported in YemenJuly 26, 2004 A total of 12 AIDS cases were reported in Yemen during the first six months of 2004, according to Hussein Faqira, coordinator of the Anti-AIDS Program. Officials estimate that half of the 13,000 registered HIV cases in Yemen are non-Yemenis; many are refugees from the Horn of Africa.
