Baton Rouge, Louisiana College to Host AIDS Quilt, HIV Awareness Event

Eight of the AIDS Memorial Quilt's 44,000 panels are on display at the Baton Rouge Community College through Dec. 8, and the school has scheduled several HIV awareness events to coincide with the display. On World AIDS Day, Dec. 1, the college will host a panel discussion on AIDS at noon in the Bienvenue Student Center. BRCC will offer teen-oriented HIV education sessions, titled "Becoming a Responsible Teen HIV Training," on Dec. 2 and Dec. 3. The college will also offer free HIV testing at the student center 8 a.m.-10 a.m. and 3 p.m.-5 p.m. on Dec. 1. Free testing is regularly offered 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursdays.
