International News Zambian Vice President Takes AIDS TestSeptember 2, 2004 On Tuesday, Zambian Vice President Nevers Mumba became the third prominent Zambian to undergo an HIV test. Mumba took the test when he visited a new HIV testing center established in Lusaka. It is a double-edged sword issue but I am happy with the results, he said Wednesday. I hope my colleagues will gain courage to be tested. Previous high-profile testers were former President Kenneth Kaunda and Sports Minister Gladys Nyirongo.
