Kansas: AIDS Walk Raises More Than $250,000

April 19, 2005

Organizers of Saturday's 2005 AIDS Walk in Theis Park said Kansas City's largest annual AIDS fundraiser was a success, bringing in more than $250,000 for treatment and research. Last month, community AIDS organizations learned of nearly half a million dollars in federal cuts and are now bracing themselves for this summer, when Medicaid cuts are to be finalized. "This is what we have to do," said Enos.
