California: STD Prevention Talks

August 11, 2005

San Francisco's STD Prevention and Control Services unit is recruiting male and female volunteers who are interested in talking about STD prevention. The teams will visit local bars, sex clubs, street fairs and other community events. The STD unit will provide training on how to be a community outreach worker along with training on how to conduct STD testing. The time commitment is between five and eight hours a month. The next training session is Saturday, August 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; lunch will be provided.
