Ohio: HIV-Blacks Awareness Plan Involves Churches

August 17, 2005

The sixth in a series of HIV awareness events targeting the black community was recently held at Little Rock Church in the Hillcrest area of Dayton. The Montgomery County Combined Health District sends an outreach van to the events to offer rapid, free HIV testing. "I think this series is one of the most successful and unusual events that we have hosted, and the responses have been really terrific," said Dennis Moore of Wright State University School of Medicine.
