A safe-sex poster featuring a Catholic nun holding a condom has drawn strong criticism from Taiwan's Catholic population, forcing the Taipei hospital that produced it to remove the ads from the city's subways stations, Taiwanese media reported today. The poster shows a middle-age woman in a nun's habit holding a wrapped condom saying, "Although I don't use it, I know what it is." Taipei United Hospital came up with the AIDS prevention idea after brainstorming with a publicity agent. But local churches and members found the poster highly offensive and called on the hospital to remove all copies of it last week, media reported.
