Celebrities Step Up for AIDS Walk Atlanta

August 26, 2005

Organizers of this year's AIDS Walk Atlanta, to be held Oct. 16 in Piedmont Park, have signed up record producer Dallas Austin, supermodel Naomi Campbell and "Will & Grace" actor Leslie Jordan as honorary co-chairs. The walk, which is the Southeast's biggest AIDS fundraiser, has also added a 5-kilometer run. "Through the funds raised through [the walk], AID Atlanta implements programs that reach approximately 4,000 each month statewide and conducts 300 HIV tests in addition to serving 300 people through clinical services," said the group's Executive Director Kim Anderson. To register for the walk, go to www.aidswalkatlanta.com or telephone 404-876-9255.
