Number of Iowans With HIV Up in 2004

On Wednesday, an Iowa Department of Public Health report found new HIV diagnoses increased in 2004 to 103 cases, up from 91 cases in 2003. Overall, 1,240 Iowans have HIV/AIDS. Another 354 people are likely infected but have not been diagnosed or have not yet had their infections reported, the report noted.
