Australia: Course Shows Better Ways to Tackle HIV/AIDS
May 23, 2005 Monday marks the start of a five-day conference in Perth designed for health professionals working in Australia, Papua New Guinea, the South Pacific region, southeast Asia, and Africa. The International HIV/AIDS Monitoring and Evaluation Training Course, run by Curtin University of Technology's Center for International Health, will discuss HIV/AIDS trends; key concepts and frameworks; as well as how to develop, measure, and evaluate projects related to the disease. "The escalating demand for high-quality monitoring and evaluation training to respond to the HIV/AIDS epidemic led us to offer the five-day training course," said professor David Wilson, an AIDS expert and the center's chief.
