New Hampshire: HIV/AIDS Commission Says Federal Help Working

A New Hampshire legislative committee studying the state's system for helping residents with HIV/AIDS urged Gov. John Lynch and the state congressional delegation to seek continued funding for the federal Ryan White CARE Act, which is up for renewal. Legislators have been concerned about possible cuts to Ryan White, through which New Hampshire obtains most HIV/AIDS program funding. The committee said Ryan White's renewal is essential to the state's nearly 1,000 residents with HIV/AIDS.
