Tampa, Florida Awarded Grant to Help AIDS Patients

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Alphonso Jackson is scheduled to visit Tampa today to announce a $1.3 million grant to the city to help people with HIV/AIDS secure housing. Tampa administers almost $3 million annually in HUD grants used by nonprofit charities to provide housing for people with AIDS. This is the first year Tampa received an extra HUD grant in addition to the annual allotment.
