Arizona: March Against AIDS

October 13, 2005

Tucson's 17th annual AIDS Walk on Sunday, Oct. 15, benefits the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation and serves as community outreach to remind people about the need for vigilance in prevention. Registration costs $10. Activities include a 10-kilometer (6.2 mile) run, 4k (2.4 mile) walk and a display of panels from the AIDS quilt. SAAF hopes to attract 4,000-5,000 participants and to raise $247,000. The walk begins at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, at Rillito Park Race Track, 4502 N.
