Illinois: Michael Cook to Lead Howard Brown Health Center

October 7, 2005

Effective Oct. 24, Michael C. Cook will succeed Keith Waterbrook as president and CEO of Chicago's Howard Brown Health Center, which serves gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered clients. Currently executive director of Interfaith House, Cook has served as president of the Illinois chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, chairperson of the board of Chicago House, and board member of the Point Foundation. He is presently on the ACLU's national board and on the governing board of the Chicago Continuum on Care. Prior to leading Interfaith House, Cook was a law partner at Ross & Hardies.
