August 21, 2006

ABC News' "Out of Control: AIDS in Black America," which will air on "Primetime" Thursday at 10 p.m. (EDT), focuses on African Americans, a population with an HIV infection rate eight times that of whites. Terry Moran explores the crisis, including the failure of leadership that has allowed the epidemic to grow unchecked. Also included in the report is a group interview with HIV-positive black men in Atlanta conducted by the late Peter Jennings shortly before his cancer diagnosis.
