Medical News Gen-Probe Gets FDA OK for STD TestAugust 23, 2006 On Tuesday, San Diego-based Gen-Probe Inc. said the Food and Drug Administration had approved the company's Aptima Combo 2 test to be used to screen certain liquid Pap and vaginal swab specimens for chlamydia and gonorrhea.
