Illinois: Howard Brown Announces New Chief Medical Officer

On August 16, Howard Brown Health Center announced the appointment of James Thomas (Tom) Barrett, MD, as its chief medical officer. A medical provider at HBHC since 2000, Barrett has played key roles in many projects, including the development of the HIV/hepatitis C co-infection treatment protocol; the transgender health program; and Institute for Healthcare Improvement initiatives in HIV and depression. Barrett is primary investigator on several ongoing studies and is sub-investigator for all HBHC's clinical studies. For more information, visit www.howardbrown.org.
