New HIV-Positives Found in Estonia in July Total 43

In July, Estonia recorded 43 new HIV cases, including two small children. The new patients comprised 30 males and 13 females. Twenty people were ages 20-26; five were ages 30-35; nine were above age 35; four were ages 15-19; and two were children under age 4. Two of the new patients were incarcerated, bringing to 62 the number of inmates diagnosed this year. Cumulative diagnoses so far this year are 375 HIV cases and 12 AIDS cases.
