Peer Education

The December 2001/January 2002 issue of BAACHUS and GAMMA?s The Peer Educator reviews components of promising peer-led sexual health programs. The review highlights how peer education promotes sexual health and reduces high-risk behaviors among teens. It is believed that teens find peer educators more credible than adult educators.

LGBT Students

GLSEN and Lambda Legal have recently published A Guide to Effective Statewide Laws/Policies: Preventing Discrimination against LGBT Students in K-12 Schools. This joint publication, a how-to manual for creating change that applies to an entire state, is a new resource available to those who are working to combat homophobia in schools.
