North Carolina: Free HIV Tests Throughout Week

The Mecklenburg County Health Department will participate in National HIV Testing Day on Tuesday with free tests and counseling lasting the entire week. The Health Department, in partnership with the Metrolina AIDS Project, the Regional AIDS Interfaith Network, and the Regional HIV/AIDS Consortium, will offer testing and counseling at several sites around Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. A partial list of locations includes: Monday, 4-6 p.m., University Park Baptist Church, 6029 Beatties Ford Rd.; Tuesday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Hal Marshall Center, 700 N. Tryon St.; Wednesday, 4-8 p.m., Lesbian and Gay Community Center, 1401 Central Avenue. For more information, telephone 704-432-TEST.
