National HIV/AIDS Update Conference -- Prevention, Treatment, and Care: Forging an Integrated Response, sponsored by the American Foundation for AIDS Research, is scheduled for March 19-22, 2002, in the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, San Francisco, CA.
This conference will present the latest information on critical prevention, treatment, and care issues. Its mission is to provide a unique opportunity for researchers, health care professionals, consumer advocates, service providers, and people living with HIV/AIDS to discuss and debate strategies for slowing the AIDS epidemic and improving the lives of people living with AIDS.
Conference goals include: to craft a shared language that professionals and consumers can use to design effective HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness programs and access; to generate dialogue and build coalitions in support of essential improvements in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and care; and to sustain the commitment and enthusiasm of HIV/AIDS service and health care providers, educators, advocates, and people living with HIV/AIDS who confront the epidemic on a daily basis.
