International News Austria: HIV/AIDS Charity Gala Raised More Than $1.28 MillionMay 26, 2006 The 14th annual Life Ball AIDS charity gala held in Vienna on May 20 raised more than $1.4 million, Austrian media reported Wednesday. Last year, the benefit gala brought in $1.3 million. Attendees of this year's ball included actresses Sharon Stone and Catherine Deneuve and supermodel Naomi Campbell. Half of the proceeds will go to Austrian HIV/AIDS projects and the other half will to the American Foundation for AIDS Research, said Life Ball founder and organizer Gery Keszler.
