California: Representative Lee Schedules AIDS Forum

September 14, 2006

This Saturday, U.S. Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) will host "Getting Real: A Forum About HIV/AIDS," from 10 a.m. to noon at the Merritt College gymnasium, 12500 Campus Drive, Oakland. The forum will address HIV/AIDS in the black community and discuss vulnerable populations, high-risk sexual behaviors and the role of churches. Joining Lee as panelists are artist Sheryl Lee Ralph, pastor Yvette Flunder, ministry Professor Mark Wilson and Roosevelt Mosby, executive director of the Sexual Minority Alliance of Alameda County Youth Center. The event will include free HIV testing and information about local HIV services.
