New HIV Vaccine to Be Tested in the Ivory Coast

A new HIV vaccine under development will be tested in the Ivory Coast, one of the West African countries worst affected by AIDS. The results of the test will be forthcoming "between 2007 and 2008," said Roger Salomon of the University of Bordeaux. According to official figures, about 10 percent of the Ivory Coast's 15 million people are living with HIV.
