Maine Clinic to Mark STD Awareness Month

April 16, 2002

April is National STD Awareness Month across the United States, which will experience more than 15 million cases of STDs this year. To raise public awareness of the need to get tested and treated for STDs, the American Social Health Association is leading a national awareness campaign about STD testing this month. The Bangor, Maine, STD clinic is offering testing on Monday evenings and Thursday mornings. Tests are inexpensive (STDs: $40; HIV: $25), and no one is turned away due to their inability to pay. Telephone 207-947-0700.
