Former Diplomat: AIDS, Not Terrorism, is Biggest ThreatApril 8, 2002 AIDS outranks terrorism and the violence in the Middle East as "the single most serious issue in the world today," former UN Ambassador Richard C. Holbrooke said in a speech at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va., last Thursday night. "AIDS is not just another disease, it is the worst health crisis in at least 700 years.
