CDC Donates HIV Testing EquipmentAugust 24, 2001 The CDC recently donated $340,000 in HIV testing equipment to Tanzania. The equipment is capable of providing test results in less than 30 minutes. At a ceremony marking the donation, a ministry of health spokesperson said that more than 90 percent of Tanzanians with HIV do not know they are infected.
