Across the USA: West Virginia

December 14, 2001

Some 2,500 West Virginia women with little or no health insurance will be tested next year for human papillomavirus (HPV), a risk factor associated with cervical cancer. The project will be funded by a $498,000 federal grant. West Virginia University's Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center will help recruit and train doctors for the project.
