More than 25,000 walkers participated in the 16th Annual AIDS Walk San Francisco Sunday, raising $3.5 million for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and 35 other AIDS service organizations in the Bay Area. "For this year's AIDS Walk to raise such an extraordinary amount of money, despite the current world situation and a struggling local economy, shows that the Bay Area's commitment to fighting AIDS and supporting people living with HIV and AIDS remains strong," said Craig Miller, the walk's producer. During the past 16 years, nearly 290,000 people have participated in AIDS Walk San Francisco.
