AIDS Quilt Gets Role in "General Hospital"

June 21, 2001

The AIDS Memorial Quilt is making a return soap opera appearance today as ABC daytime commemorates the annual Day of Compassion. Eighty-eight panels of the 54-ton quilt will be displayed during the annual "Nurses Ball" on "General Hospital." "Whenever portions of the quilt are displayed, it has a profound impact on the people who see it," said Julie Rhoad, managing director of the Names Project Foundation.
