In West Africa, AIDS is especially prevalent along the traditional migration routes. CARE, an Atlanta-based relief and development agency, is working to stem the spread of HIV by understanding those patterns of migration. According to CARE's Lora Wuennenberg, LifeLink will attempt to address, among other things, the economic insecurity contributing to the migration. Wuennenberg said that LifeLink will be phased in at a cost of $10 million dollars over the next several years.
