Michael Duffy to Lead AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts

March 21, 2002

The AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts named Michael Thomas Duffy its executive director. Duffy, director of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) during the Weld administration, replaces Larry Kessler, who helped start AIDS action in 1983 and will become founding director when Duffy takes office April 8. After leaving MCAD, Duffy became director of the state's Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.
