No New TB Cases Found After One Illness Found at Central Michigan University

May 1, 2002

No additional cases of tuberculosis have been found at Central Michigan University after one person was found with the disease, the university says. The university has withheld the identity of the person diagnosed with TB on April 19. "The patient is complying with the treatment program, responding well to medication, and should be able to resume normal activities within a few weeks," said university Health Services Director Sarah Campbell. Those tested will be retested in 12 weeks, the university said.
