Federal Funds to Provide Housing to People with AIDS, Mental Illness or Addictions in West Virginia

November 26, 2001

A $1.2 million federal grant has been awarded to a coalition of Huntington, W.Va.-area agencies to provide housing and support services for people with AIDS-related illnesses, mental illnesses or drug addictions. The US Department of Housing and Urban Development grant was awarded to the Cabell-Huntington-Wayne Continuum of Care, a group that helps the homeless move to stable housing. The money will aid 45 individuals and six families.
