Hawaii: AIDS Day Events Planned This Week

November 26, 2001

In observance of World AIDS Day on Saturday, events throughout Hawaii are planned, including the display of sections of the AIDS memorial quilt at Kapiolani Community College, University of Hawaii-Hilo, Kauai Community College and Wilcox Library in Lihue. Sections of the quilt also will be on display Friday at the University of Hawaii-Manoa, on Saturday at St. Pius the Tenth Church in Manoa, and on Sunday at Sacred Heart Church. A Walk-Around is scheduled for Friday morning at the state Capitol and Friday afternoon at Honolulu Hale. Religious observances are also planned.
