The National Institutes of Health on Tuesday awarded more than $7.3 million in a five-year grant to Emory University's Center for AIDS Research. It will help AIDS research efforts at Emory College, the university's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and four teaching and research institutions at Emory's Woodruff Health Sciences Center. The center's efforts include prevention sciences, vaccine development and testing, clinical sciences, and collaborations with international AIDS groups. It is one of 19 NIH-sponsored Centers of AIDS Research nationwide.
