Wilkinson to Resign as Chief of AIDS Project

November 28, 2001

South Beach AIDS Project Executive Director Jeffrey Wilkinson has resigned, effective Nov. 30. He held the job since June 1998. Wilkinson said he will remain available to the organization during the transition period and will also continue to do volunteer work on special projects. He leaves to become editor-in-chief of Miamigo magazine, an upscale South Florida monthly. Raymond R. Hart, board chair, praised Wilkinson for the "wonderful job" he has done. A review committee is searching for a replacement; Hart said the process could take up to three months.
