Standard Chartered Bank is to initiate a global staff health education campaign, "Living with AIDS", a statement from the bank announced last Tuesday. The program follows the success of an earlier initiative, called "Staying Alive," that was launched in all the 13 African countries where the bank operates. It was a result of a desire to protect basic human rights, preserve the integrity of its labor force and reduce costs associated with HIV.
