Some 20,000 people participated in AIDS Walk Los Angeles in West Hollywood on Sunday. The six-mile walk raised an estimated $2.5 million for AIDS Project Los Angeles, which provides services for men, women and children with HIV/AIDS. At the starting line, Mayor James K. Hahn offered encouragement to the walkers: "Thanks for caring about your brothers and sisters. Keep walking and we will beat this one day."
