More than 14,000 people participated in AIDS Walk Atlanta at Piedmont Park on Sunday. "American Idol" finalist Nikki McGibbon was one of several celebrities on hand for the opening ceremonies. Also participating were Mayor Shirley Franklin and singer Stephanie Mills. The 10K walk raises funds for area HIV/AIDS service organizations.
