Company's HIV-resistance Test Receives Approval from FDASeptember 27, 2001 Visible Genetics, Inc. said yesterday that the FDA had approved its genetic test for HIV resistance. The TruGene test is the first agency-approved test for analyzing weaknesses in a patient's strain of HIV. It can help doctors pick the AIDS drugs that are likely to be the most effective against the virus.
