Best-Selling Author Gives Compassion Benefit

Fall 2001

Neale Donald Walsh, New York Times best-selling author of Conversations With God, will give a benefit lecture entitled "Dying With God: From Fear to Empowerment." Neale worked with Elizabeth Kubler Ross for many years and has a special interest in spiritual growth throughout a terminal illness. He hopes to change the way people think about death and dying, by creating a conversation that will transform fears into faith. Neale's benefit for Compassion, will introduce our work to a vast and supportive audience. In his next book, Dying With God, Neale will endorse the work and mission of Compassion. If you would like to learn more about Neale's other publications and workshops please visit his Web site conversationswithgod.org.

The benefit evening will be held at Portland's Reed College Kaul Auditorium. Tickets for the lecture are $35. A "Sponsorship Ticket" that includes a private reception with the author, priority seating and lecture is $100. Donations to CIDF can be made in lieu of purchasing tickets.
