Co-Producer, Director of Photography Academy Award nominee Richard Young is one of North America's most distinguished documentary cinematographers. He has filmed dozens of documentaries for the Eastman Kodak Company and two recent feature-length documentaries for PBS. Richard Young's international experience is extensive: he has filmed in more than a dozen countries around the world during the course of his 25-year career. A Closer Walk is his third collaboration with Robert Bilheimer. Lee Edwards is an experienced, award-winning sound recordist based in South Africa who has worked around the world on documentaries, feature films, and news specials for the BBC, ABC, CBS, National Geographic, and HBO since 1983. A Closer Walk is his first collaboration with Robert Bilheimer. Assistant Cameraman, Second Unit cinematographer Craig Braden is a freelance cinematographer and lighting director who has worked on benefits (UNICEF); concert tours (Billy Joel); international events (Harry Belafonte, Nelson Mandela); and national educational, sports, and entertainment broadcasts for MTV, Discovery, ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS. Production Manager Diana Hyslop is an accomplished painter based in South Africa who divides her time between her art and the production side of filmmaking -- to which she has devoted her time, expertise, and extraordinary personal gifts for the past 25 years.
