The annual incidence of women diagnosed with AIDS begins to decline because of the success of antiretroviral therapies in the U.S. Rebecca Denison (founder and editor of WORLD) delivers twin girls, becoming one of the first HIV-positive women to talk publicly about her decision to become pregnant.
