U.S. News Part One of TV Adaptation of Pulitzer Prize-Winning Play "Angels in America" Scheduled to Air on SundayDecember 5, 2003 The first segment of a television adaptation of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize-winning play "Angels in America," which is directed by Mike Nichols and stars Al Pacino, Meryl Streep and Emma Thompson, is scheduled to air on HBO on Sunday, USA Today reports. The play follows the impact of AIDS on a group of New York residents during the 1980s. The adaptation will air in two installments: the first installment, titled "Millennium Approaches," is scheduled to air on Dec. 7, and the second installment, titled "Perestroika," is scheduled for Dec. 14, according to USA Today (Gardner, USA Today, 12/4).
