More than 30 years after the late Senator Robert F. Kennedy visited Africa to attract global attention to apartheid, his youngest daughter has retraced his steps with a movie crew, this time to expose the growing AIDS epidemic. Rory Kennedy, 34, will be on hand at the John F. Kennedy Museum Monday night for a preview screening of her newest documentary, "Pandemic: Facing AIDS." The five-part series of half-hour films focuses on people living with AIDS in Thailand, Uganda, Russia, Brazil and India. "Doing this film was very difficult, depressing, and sad," said Kennedy. "But we found heroes in these remote villages and that was very affirming to me." The series, narrated by Elton John, can be seen next month on HBO. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy said Rory is committed to her father's ideals. "So much of what Robert Kennedy stood for was the eradication of injustice and Rory's documentaries have captured his spirit in a very moving way," he said.
