Myanmar Joins International Soccer Federation's Anti-HIV Campaign

Business Standard reported that Myanmar Football Federation is participating in international football association FIFA's health program, "Protect the Goal," along with Myanmar National League and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS. The program for Asian countries such as Cambodia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Myanmar aims to prevent HIV among youth, educate the public about HIV through the media, and allow individuals to share their experiences. Some local well-known football players also will participate. The National HIV Planning of the Ministry of Health will maintain the HIV education part of the program in cooperation with Myanmar Red Cross and local nongovernmental organizations.
