Louisiana: New Clinic Opens for HIV/AIDS Patients Who Lack Health Insurance

The Shreveport Times reported that the Philadelphia Center, a Shreveport, La., nonprofit organization, would partner with the Martin Luther King Health Center to provide a free monthly HIV and AIDS clinic for HIV-positive individuals who lacked health insurance. Prior to adding HIV and AIDS services through the partnership, the Martin Luther King Health Center provided free mammograms and Pap smears and served people without insurance who had diabetes, heart disease, and other chronic health problems.
