The St. Louis American recently reported that Girls Holla Back!, the award-winning intergenerational HIV/AIDS prevention program for African-American females, is enrolling 12-17-year-old girls and their adult female family members for a series of 16 free workshops in St. Louis. Sponsored by the Missouri Institute of Mental Health through funds from the US Department of Health and Human Services and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, the workshops will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in March and April and will feature activities that promote positive behaviors that reduce new HIV cases in the community. The Girls Holla Back! Orientation and Health Fair is scheduled for March 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the New Northside Conference Center, 5939 Goodfellow Boulevard, St. Louis.
