Washington: HIV Demographics in King County Differ From National Trend
June 21, 2013
The latest statistics available for King County, Wash., demonstrated that the county had more than 7,000 reported HIV/AIDS cases as of April 2013. The majority of diagnosed individuals were Caucasian males between 20-40 years old. This demographic varied from that for AIDS cases nationally, where greater than 50 percent of HIV/AIDS diagnoses comprised people of color.
